Looking after your toenails is important
Looking after your toenails should be as important as looking after the rest of your body but they can often be forgotten.
As most people lead busy lives they don’t always care properly for their nails, especially their toe nails. Today we are going to give you some tips on caring for you toenails.

Make sure you dry your feet and toes properly, using a soft clean towel dry between and under the toes. This will remove the moisture that fungal infections like to breed in.
You should always cut your toenails straight across as if you cut too much around the corners you will end up with ingrown toenails. This can also happen if you cut them too short. Ingrown toenails can become very painful and can take some time to heal, so it’s best to prevent them in the first place. Looking after your cuticles on your toenails is also important but you must be careful when doing this, it is advised to get a professional to do this but if you do have ago yourself then make sure that you are gentle when doing so and use tiny circular motions and gradually push the cuticles back. Using a cuticle oil daily is also recommended.
Properly fitted socks and shoes are essential to keep your toenails healthy, this is especially important for children as they are still developing. Also fresh socks everyday are a must, we hope this is already a must for you and not something new.
