Facts you may not know about hair extensions

We are going to tell you some Facts you may not know about hair extensions

There maybe a few Facts you may not know about hair extensions so we have done some research to tell you.
As we all know, hair extensions look lovely but you should know all that you can about them before having them and then you will most definitely get the best from them.
Affordability- A lot of  people think that hair extensions are too expensive for them to afford. This is not always true, even human hair extensions are more affordable than you might think and synthetic ones are getting better and better all the time thanks to new technology.  With new techniques coming out all of the time, the time it takes to put them in has come down a lot so therefore the cost can come down as it is not taking as much of the technicians time up which obviously is a big part of the cost.
Kindness to hair- Your hair should not suffer as long as the extensions are applied correctly.  Having said that, you must look after them properly as this will cause damage to your hair if you do not.  Brush them to avoid matting, do not apply conditioner to the roots and do not go to bed with wet hair.  Plaiting your hair at night is the best thing to do.  The technician should tell you how to care for your hair extensions and all you need to do is make sure you maintain them.
Application- The application of hair extensions should not be painful and neither should the removal of them.  Hair should not feel heavy.  If the extension is heavier than your natural hair then you may get hair breakage which you obviously do not want.  You should always be offered a consultation to make sure you are suitable to have hair extensions where all concerns can be discussed.
Lasting time- The time your extensions will last will be down to the quality of the hair and also the application.  The hair comes in different grades (see our page on here for more info) and can last anywhere between 1 month and 12 months.  The longer lasting the more expensive generally.  It does also come back to maintenance as well, you need to look after them as best you can and make sure you go back to the salon for regular maintenance.
So there we have a few Facts you may not know about hair extensions.
