We have found a few Quick fixes for nails that you may not know

The Quick fixes for nails cover everything form making your nails look longer to drying your nail polish faster.

  • Quick fix for chipped nail polish -We know all know how annoying it can be to paint your nails and then within a day chip them but all is not lost. we have found a two-minute fix that camouflages chips without having to start a whole new manicure from scratch.Apply a coat of glitter nail varnish.Just paint it on right over your chipped polish for an instant fix..The bigger the glitter bits the better no one will be able to tell that you chipped your nail polish.
  • The fastest way to dry nail polish -Dunk your hands in a bowl of ice-cold water. The cold water freeze-dries polish, sealing and hardening it quickly. Allow nails to air-dry for two minutes, then submerge in ice-cold water for three minutes, which is enough time for the polish to harden completely.
  • Garlic - is a  very effective  way to make your nails grow fast. Simply apply garlic paste to your nails twice a week or cut a garlic clove in half and rub it on your nails. The bulb is high in selenium, and some studies have linked low selenium levels to weaker nails.  So we think its worth a ago you can always leave the juice to dry, then wash off if you can’t stand the smell.
  • Gelatin –  here is another one you could try if you  have split nails and cracked hands, a good ‘soak’ in gelatin will certainly help. Take a packet of gelatin or lemon jelly, pour it into a cup of hot water. Make a paste and put it to set. When it has set, soak the hands in this jelly, keep rubbing the nails and cuticles as well as the hands. Keep them soaked for at least 15 minutes. A regular use of this treatment prevents cracks on the skin of the fingers and the cracking and splitting of fingernails.
  • Almond oil at bed time – Soak daily in warm almond oil or olive oil for 5-7 minutes, preferably before bed-time. this will help strength your nails
  • Discoloured nails - You can clean discoloured nails by soaking them in a solution of lemon juice and warm water. After 7 minutes, scrub them with white vinegar by using a nail brush. These two products are natural bleach  and  if done regularly will remove any discolouration.
  • To whiten the nails – Dip a swab of cotton wool in hydrogen peroxide; clean the nails with this swab, rub under the nails to clean and whiten them. You can also try soaking them in bicarbonate of soda for 10 minutes and then rise as this is a natural whitener .
