Could Snail facials be the next big thing
Could Snail facials be the next big thing in skincare and beauty. We have seen in the news this week that snail facials have come to the UK. So we have decided to look into what they can do for your skin and if it would really be worth it. Who knows we could be offering them at B Beautiful 4 U in the future.
There is currently only one salon that offers the snail facial, it originally comes from Tokyo. It apparently works by placing the snails on the face and the slime helps remove old skin cells and rejuvenate the skin underneath.
A salon in Tokyo that provide the snail facial say that it is also great at treating sunburn as it has healing and hydrating properties. It will therefore also be great for people with dry skin. The use of snails in skincare goes way back in history as the ancient greeks used them to treat skin inflammation amongst other things.
Its advised that you don’t try this at home with any old snails, you should as with many beauty treatments see a professional. We’re not sure we would personally like to give this facial a go but you never know it could really take off. It will really depend on the outcome of the treatment and if its effects are worth having snails slimming across your face.
