Banana Powder

Banana Powder

What is Banana Powder

How could Banana Powder work for you

So what is Banana Powder? and how could it work for you? well it actually does not contain banana at all.  Its doesn’t contain any fruit at all, the name comes from the colour as it is yellow.
The Banana powder works on most skin tones and particularly well on  medium and darker tones.  Banana powders set makeup, absorb excess oil and reduce the appearance of fine lines just like a traditional powder but they also colour correct. Unlike white-based finishing powders that can look caked on, banana powders look more natural on yellow-based skin tones and they also balance out redness on people of all skin tones.  It will give more coverage than your standard foundation or concealer.
It also works great underneath your eyes to set your concealer and cancel out blush tones under the eye. You can use it to set any contouring products and to camouflage pink tones in your skin.
When using the product as a finishing powder apply it with a brush or sponge, this will help ensure an even finish. When using over a concealer or contouring cream, let the product set for a few minutes before removing any excess with a brush. If you’re going to use it as a finishing powder and you have also contoured, only giving it a light dusting, otherwise your contouring will not show.
So Banana powder is not something you can eat or even remotely banana tasting, in fact we would advise you do not eat this kind of banana at all!  This yellow powder could be very useful for your skin though so why not give Banana Powder a go.

Do’s and Do Nots for your Prom 2015

With Prom season found the corner, we have decided to look at Do’s and Do Nots for your Prom 2015

Here are some Do’s and Do Nots for your Prom 2015

Here  are a few Do’s and Do Nots for your Prom 2015  to look at if you have your prom  this year.
Choose a classic hairdo, use clean lines, keep it simple and most of all, try not to stray too far from your comfort zone.  But more importantly, stay age appropriate. You don’t want to be 16  trying to look a tacky 26 year old . It’s your high school prom, and you’re a high school girl! Don’t try to be too adult.
Keep Your Beauty Routine Consistent, in the two weeks leading up to your  prom, it’s important to keep your beauty routine consistent and not make any major changes, Now is not the time to try out a new pimple or anti-aging cream because you don’t want to develop a reaction, leaving your skin irritated. before your prom.
Don’t Go for a dark Lip colour, if you are hoping   for a kiss at the prom? Then avoid a red or dark lip  stick/gloss  or any thing that smudges easily or requires precision, time-consuming reapplication is a definite no-no.
Wax Your Brows at Least a Day in Advance
Brows are a big part of your beauty look, and no girl wants to appear unkempt at prom. That’s why you should wax your eyebrows at least 24 hours in advance, This will ensure your skin has enough time to calm down if you tend to get any redness or sensitivity.
Don’t wear body glitter
This is a big beauty don’t, instead, look for lotions that have a shimmer to them.  But wear this only on your body not your face. This will give you the perfect amount of glow.” You should also avoid glitter-based eye shadows, as you are likely to end up with glitter all over your cheeks (and your date!) by the end of the night.
Don’t Opt for Dewy Skin
the dewy skin look is not a good idea when you plan on taking photos at an event! This is the time for oil control unless you want to look greasy in all your pics.  If you stuffer from oily skin you may want to consider using a shine control mask the night before. And look for one with rice protein technology, which is even better at absorbing oil than clay.
Don’t overe do it
Whether it be with the mile-high hair or the over-the-top blue eye shadow, definitely don’t overdo it. “Subtle is the key word here.  Natural beauty photographs so much better, you don’t want to be thinking what was i doing wearing that crazy eye shadow in years to come
We hope  you find these Do’s and Do Nots for your Prom 2015 tips helpful

A clean workout

A clean workout

Do you have A clean workoutA clean workout

A clean workout is very important

Do you make sure you are having A clean workout, well if not then you really should be.
We have always focused on washing our faces after we workout rather than before. This is because we worry about the effects of sweat sitting on our skin, which can clog pores and result in breakouts but it turns out sweat isn’t to blame, hygiene is.
If you do not wash your face before working out, then you are sweating up against all of the oil, dirt, debris and makeup that is on your skin, which can clog your pores. Also if you use your hands or a towel to wipe sweat away from your face, it can push oil, dirt and debris further into your pores and lead to larger pores, collagen breakdown and future breakouts, which we are pretty sure you do not want.
Sweat is one of the few mechanisms our bodies have to rid themselves of toxins so it is not all that bad after all.  The problems only start when the toxins sit on your skin longer than they should. If most of the toxins were cleaned off beforeyou worked out then sweat would mainly consist of salt and water, which would purify rather than irritate the skin. All you would have to do is splash your face with water before your workout and go.
After your workout it is best to use very little product on your face and avoid any thick or rich moisturisers as when you increase your metabolism, the oil glands have a natural desire to secrete. Skin has yet to balance itself, so putting anything on right away may block the pores. Wait until your skin has returned to room temperature to apply moisturiser and makeup. When skin is overheated, it can cause redness even when skin is normally not prone to this condition.
So if you’re not having A clean workout then now is the time to start.

Beauty Trends for Spring 2015

Today we are looking at Beauty Trends for Spring 2015

As Spring is fast a approaching  we have decided to have a look at Beauty Trends for Spring 2015

Anew season is just around the corner so we have decided we would have a look at Beauty Trends for Spring 2015 some to say the least are a bit strange..

One of this Springs nail trends is the graphic polish designs, that let a little naked nail show through. One of the new plays that’s easy to copy at home: the metallic silver side swipes down teethe sides of your nails. Im not sure this is a look we would go for but each to their own.
Most people know hat a French manicure is, but this spring the look has been switched up a bit.
It s called a half moon manicure and was very popular in the 1930’s It’s not that different than your regular French manicure. Instead of highlighting your tips, you’re emphasizing your moons. It’s a small change, but offers major impact. It looks amazing when done with complimentary colours. or just the monsoons painted can look very chic.
After seasons of bold nail art, there is a return to barely there nail polish colors, from palest pink to chic nude.
It would seem them the beauty world isn’t quite ready to let go of winter just yet with, one of Springs colours set to be a colour called perfect plum eyeshadow
As well as inky black eyes with eyeliner, one of the ways to wear your eye liner is by lining all the way around your eye with liquid eyeliner for maximum drama.( no smudges)
The next look is to trace the  upper lids with a thick  liner pen but the trick is to keep the rest of the face natural.
We will add more Beauty Trends for Spring 2015 as we see them

Applying strip lashes

Applying strip lashes

Applying strip lashes the new way

Try Applying strip lashes this way

It can be tricky to apply strip lashes so try Applying strip lashes this way.
Curl your lashes and apply mascara. Curling your lashes and applying mascara beforehand will ensure that the strip lashes blend well and will prolong their life.
Make sure your lashes fit properly. A pair with a clear or thin band are recommended as they are the most comfortable and will be the easiest to apply underneath your lashes. Measure the strip against your own eye and if any trimming is needed then trim the outer edges to get a perfect fit. Bend and curve the band to give lashes a bit more shape. Also, if you have used the pair previously, make sure the band is completely free of any dried old glue.
Apply a thin coat of lash glue to the band and let it get tacky.  Don’t worry if you accidently get lash glue in your eyes as it is ophthalmologically tested to be eye safe. Make sure you add a bit more to the very top portion of the lash band, that way it sticks better to your own lashes. Then, wait between 30-60 seconds in order for the glue to become tacky before applying them.
Apply the lashes as close to the upper rim as possible. The easiest way to do this is to get a good view of the upper fold of skin.  Looking up into a mirror and using tweezers to push the lashes right up against your natural lashes is the best way to do it. Place the middle down first, then secure the ends. If applying a full strip is too difficult for you, you can cut the lashes in half and apply both sides separately.
So Applying strip lashes doesn’t have to be as difficult as you think, just follow the steps above.

Skin care secrets

Today we are going to be telling you some Skin care secrets

Skin care secrets you should know

Today we are looking a Skin care secrets, some you may already know and some you might not.
Any skin-care expert will tell you that the key to gorgeous, healthy skin is not just about the products you use, but more importantly how you use them. We are going to point you in the right direction, with what you should be doing with regards to your skincare routine.
  1. One of the important product you should add to your  daily skincare routine  is toner. This is because it removes residue left on your skin from tap water and helps your skin retain moisture.
  2. Apply toner onto your face in between cleansing and moisturising.Use chamomile tea on your face as a rinse when your skin is feeling sensitive,  The tea, which is common in soothing skin-care products, is infused with antioxidants that have natural healing properties.
  3. Wait 5 minutes between your skin products! Each product needs time to absorb, if you over-massage it into your skin, you’re really just rubbing it off of your face. this is also the case when applying foundation.
  4. Sunscreen isn’t the only way to shield your face from harmful rays. Apply  topical forms of vitamins C and E for added protection.
  5. Before applying a face mask steam your face over a bowl of hot water or press a hot wash cloth to your face before beginning a mask. The heat helps to soften the debris in your pores and clean your skin, which then allows the ingredients int he mask to work better.
If  you know any other Skin care secrets then please drop us a line we would love to hear from you.

What is Urine Therapy?

What is Urine Therapy?

You may be wondering What is Urine Therapy?

What is Urine Therapy? We know sounds a bit dodgy but we thought we would have a look at what it is.
There are lots of things women will do for  spot free skin. We’re always on the look out for that miracle treatment to rid us of our spots for good. But, the latest at home blemish banishing trick to make news is not one we suggest you try: Women in the U.K. are using urine to clear their acne, according to the media
Apparently, it works as a toner and spot treatment. We know there had to be some truth to this—your typical woman isn’t  going to start applying pee to her face for the hell of it. So, we have had to do quiet a lot of research , whether this is legit. The most important fact about urine is that contrary to what you might suspect, urine is not a waste product. In fact, it is free of toxins and contains a resource unique to each individual when re-introduced to the body, internally or externally. Urine is 95 to 98% water. The rest is, as the laboratories can confirm, biochemical compounds in minute amounts that may have curative properties.
So you should you wish  to give this ago here is what you need to know;
One of the simplest ways to use urotherapy for the treatment of acne is to prepare it according to the rules of homeopathy, which involves dilution and succussion. First, take a drop of fresh urine, collected midstream from the morning’s first release. Add it to a tablespoon of sterilized water in a glass dropper bottle. Shake the bottle approximately 50 times against a hard book or the palm of your hand. Take one drop of this mixture and add it to a tablespoon of water in a glass vial, and shake. Repeat this procedure a total of three times, which is an equivalent of a 3X homeopathic potency. Take a few drops under the tongue each day until symptoms begin to improve. If more of the preparation is needed, repeat the process, each time increasing the succussions to reach the 4X potency and so on.
If you don’t fancy the who drinking it bit , you can always apply it externally;
Perhaps the most straightforward method of using urine therapy for the treatment of acne is to use external applications. Moisten a clean, damp cloth with morning urine and apply it to the face, leaving it on like a mask or compress for half an hour.
So there you had it we don’t know whether its the next miracle treatment as neither Lou or are planning on trying it. So you will have to try for your self if you want to find out.
At least there  no confusion as to  What is Urine Therapy?
