Most people won’t know what TPHP is to know how or where it can harm  you. Before being able to ask the question Is TPHP in nail polish harmful ?
So here is the science bit so you have a clearer understanding about what TPHP is and  how it can be potentially harmful.
Triphenyl phosphate (TPHP) is a chemical used in plastics to improve flexibility and as a flame retardant. Animal studies and in vitro studies have suggested that it could be an endocrine disrupter which affects your hormones – in particular, it could potentially affect reproductive health and lipid metabolism
Researchers  conducted  a test to see  if the TPHP in nail varnish entered the blood stream of the wearer, and found that  all of 17 participates  had increased amounts of TPHP in their blood stream.  Be it was only a tiny quantity, it is neither the less a toxic chemical and  which is why the question Is TPHP in nail polish harmful ?Was asked in the first place , but unfortunately the answer is inconclusive  more research will need to be done regarding TPHP before a infinitive answer  can be given.
We feel that as long as we are aware of a possible harmful effects of products in cosmetics then it has to be a personal decision as whether or not to keep painting our nails.
